KEY ACTIVITIES


ELBE Alliance is currently working (2022 – 2024) to promote European Collaboration in the fields of innovation, internationalization, networking and training.

To encourage this collaboration between countries, ELBE Alliance launches open calls supported by Cascade Funding that aims at supporting European SMEs in the development of their resilience and green and digital transition.

INNOVATION COLLABORATIVE CHALLENGES
These innovation collaborative challenges include open calls with a set of challenges in coordination with European Offshore Renewable Energy stakeholders and to be addressed by interested SMEs.
The main objective is to secure that the concepts selected for funding have a clear market potential based on a specific industry need.
Some relevant information:

  • Number of challenges identified by key stakeholders: 8 challenges.
  • Cascade funding for these challenges: 60.000€ per project.
  • Number of SMEs involved: minimum 1 SME per project, although applications with collaboration of SMEs will be considered positively in the evaluation, even more if they are cross-border.
 
 

INNOVATION INDIVIDUAL SERVICES
One SME together with its provider will be able to apply to funds for innovation individual services in terms of a wide range of opportunities for the development of a SMEs.

  • These services will be delivered by external experts.
  • There is a portfolio of 5 services.
  • The call for these services will be launched in 2024.
  • Cascade funding for these services: 220.000€, with a maximum of 10.000€ per service.
  • Number of individual services funded: 22. 

INTERNATIONALIZATION MISSIONS
It is planned to have one internationalization business mission per year to emerging Offshore Renewable Energy markets, such as South Korea, India, Vietnam, Brazil, Australia, Taiwan, etc.

Some relevant information:

  • Funds are dedicated to development of an agenda and travel costs.
  • There are going to be 3 internationalization business missions.
  • Budget for these services: 80.000€.
  • Number of SMEs involved: 45 SMEs.
 
 

TRAINING COURSES

The consortium organizes specific training courses for ELBE SMEs in the areas of digitalization, sustainability or business modelling.

Some relevant information:

  • These services will be delivered by selected external experts.
  • SMEs will be able to apply to several dedicated calls to receive training courses.
  • There are going to be 2 training sessions.
  • Cascade funding for these services: 270.000€.
  • Number of SMEs involved: 20 SMEs.

NETWORKING EVENTS

During these next years, there are going to be seven networking events to communicate about ELBE and its activities in the framework of main conferences of the ELBE Alliance regions.
Some possible conferences for networking events:

  • Copenhagen, Denmark. WindEurope 2023, 25-27 of April.
  • Nantes, Frances. FOWT 2023, 10-12 of May.
  • Bilbao, Spain. WindEurope 2024, 19-21 of March.
