Our focus is on building competency and R&D cooperation with national and international partners. Our goals are to secure competitiveness, enhance the development of new products and services, and transfer knowledge and technology to new markets in a sustainable way. The focus of the cluster participants is the ocean industries.

Continuous and incremental innovations has during all the years enabled the NODE companies to build and defend their position as competitive suppliers to the world market. Their ability to adapt to market changes is key to maintain positions in current markets, in addition to develop new solutions to new markets.

Leading markets for our competence, technology and development are offshore energy, aquaculture and reinforcement of standards, regulations and ocean spatial planning.
• Digitalization is key to success. GCE NODE has, together with participating companies, had a broad focus on how new digital tools and skills will enhance production and deliverables, make business more environmentally friendly and sustainable and more efficient. GCE NODE has developed a Business Development Lab to facilitate competence development and new skills connected to building a new business model moving from being focused on production to production, service and maintenance.
