Brief description
In 2020, Pomorskie Voivodeship initiated the Pomeranian Platform for the Development of Offshore Wind Energy in the Baltic Sea the bottom-up initiative. After 3 years we have got 120 stakeholders from municipalities, companies, universities, and NGOs. To the stakeholders belong polish and abroad developers from example: Orsted, Polenergia, Ocean Winds, Equinor, EDF Renewables, RWE.

As part of Offshore Platform we have got the Offshore Innovation Council (OIC), that is the most important regional coordinator of building an innovation ecosystem by the offshore energy stakeholders (investors, industry, universities, administration). Activities undertaken by the OIC has got a process and project nature. The aim of projects is increasing the innovation potential in the region. The Council will also initiate actions and propose solutions that allow to actively support stakeholders.
The main aim for the development of the new industry is the provision of competent staff. Together with the stakeholders of the Pomeranian Offshore Platform, we organized the First Education Carrier days EDUOFFSHOREWIND2023 and it was visited by almost 5,500 pupils, students, adults and entrepreneurs. We know that the planned development of offshore wind farms in the Polish Part of the Baltic Sea focus Pomerania to become a natural leader in the production and use of green energy and green hydrogen.
